Illinois, Pt. 1
On Halloween, I began to make my way to Centralia, Illinois for a wedding. The first leg of this trip was an early morning flight to Chicago. After arriving to PHL at 4 AM and an easy two-hour flight, Connor and I landed at O’Hare. We took the Blue Line from the Airport into the Loop, then a bus into Bridgeport, to the apartment where we were staying.
After dropping off our bags, we got breakfast at a nearby coffee shop then took the Orange Line back into the Loop. We explored the riverfront, downtown, and Millennium Park, then made our way to the Shedd Aquarium.
The Shedd Aquarium was great, as most aquariums are. We explored all of the grounds that were accessible (it was undergoing construction), then took a bus back to the Red Line, which we took back to Bridgeport. We went out for dinner with our friend Mags, who was kindly housing us, and explored the neighborhood as it got dark on Halloween.
