Blind and red

‍ ‍A crowded car in the late summer heat. I watch from the driver’s seat as the alien forms pass by and when the sun sets I watch as nothing passes by. A malfunctioning inverter disables the digital camera and I am left with only my Nikon. Thirty-five millimeter diagonal frames that mark my time spent in the silent Southwest.

‍ ‍I don’t plan for any of this. I have checkpoints and checklists but but this alone does not invoke intentionality. I can’t see where I’m going.
